This is my 3rd oncologist not because I'm picky but because my first was a general onc that my hmo covered. I changed to a ppo so i could see a specialist because... why not. The second was through research and is at the city of hope over an hour from my home. Great experience there. Decided since I'm now cancer free and maintaining that someone closer would be the right choice so i chose a research hospital 10 min away. UCSD.
