On June 15, 2020, I rented a condo in Holmes Beach, FL through Jennette Properties. In order to rent this condo, I was required to pay a $1000 deposit. I checked out of this condo on July 15, 2020. I was told that I would receive a return of $850 ($1000 minus a $150 cleaning fee.) Today is August 17, 2020 and I still have not received this refund. I should have read the reviews before working with them. The owner of the company actually tried to break into our unit during the hurricane!!! Thank God we had cameras and threatened to call the police on him. Now they hold our deposit as if you read their reviews many people say they are a scam!! I would not recommend them when there are solid companies like Michael Saunders and zillow. Very happy with my rental experience with Jannette Properies. Toia my agent was absolutely pleasant to work. Palm Aire office location have very friendly agents. Everything was handled professionally. All maintenance taken care of in timely manners. I received full refund of my security deposit. Highly recommend!
This company is unethical and takes advantage older people. Beware of the agent Mike Bess. This company and Mike Bess lied and stole over 1k from a potential renter. They changed the price in the lease and then refused to refund a 1k “reservation fee” when a lease was never executed. Said the 1k was going to the owner of the property so she could fix it after the last renters destroyed the place. I saw where you ripped off a 70 year old women. Shame on you.
I wasn't treated very kindly. First they forgot to let me know when I owed them money so i ended up having to send a big chunk all at once. I was never sent the combination to the lock box that held our key. There were issues with the television and internet that were not resolved for days and they only reason they were resolved was because I took the hours on the phone to resolve them. They never called to follow up on the problems I will never rent from them again.
I'm waiting tor the return of my security deposit. 2 1/2 years ago, and according to the neighbors, the house was ready for a new tenant. So why havn't they returned my deposit?
