We met Dr. Van Beck for emergency surgery for our son at the University of Minnesota. He was severely injured in a bull riding accident and was transferred 3 times before being accepted by her. Her bedside manner is like no other. She is the kindest most professional person we have ever met, and is a master of her craft. She truly cares about the lives of the people she serves and makes the world a better place by clearly communicating a plan and performing it at the highest level. We cant thank her enough for what she did!

After a septoplasty in 2024, I unfortunately developed an infection that left me with an almost complete septal perforation. I was told there wasn't much that could be done, and at only 21 years old, it was heartbreaking to think my nose would never look the same after what was supposed to be a routine procedure. My experience and outcome of my surgery was so positive I should not have any concerns going in. My recovery was easy and she and her team have fantastic bedside manner. I'm a bit sad I won't be seeing them on a regular basis anymore.
I have had 2 surgeries completed by Dr. Van Beck. She exceeded my expectations. As other patients have mentioned, she is so kind and thoughtful. Never feels rushed and always available to answer my questions. She is so skilled. I love that she teaches at the U of MN. She says current with new technology, yet does not jump on trends that are not tried and true. I recommend her to family and friends. If I need more facial surgery, she's the only surgeon I'd feel confident touching my face!
