I have been seeing Dr. Spencer Jenkins for years. He’s very professional, informative and compassionate. His staff is also amazing. A very professional group. I trust his judgement explicitly.
The 8-14-2017 review from Virginia Beach, VA is unfortunately similar to what I experienced. Dr. Jenkins was unnecessarily condescending and rude to me while missing the big picture.
My daughter saw Dr. Jenkins multiple times and was unable to diagnose her condition. The next MD we saw was able to do so in about 5 minutes. He was condescending and determined her issue must be related to some undiagnosed mental health issue. The last appointment he told her he didn't want to see her unless her PCP sends her. We informed him that his office sent a postcard for a 6 month follow-up. I would never recommend him nor ever go again. I have heard similar stories from former staff.
Nice fellow: friendly, caring. Good manners. However, he hasn't done anything for me. He does endoscopic treatments, etc. In other words, he will monitor you. And that is where it stops. He puts you on medications and if you complain enough, he will send you to see somebody else, who will monitor you some more. I need to find somebody else. But maybe by now the problem is irreversible. The only good thing I can say about him is that he isn't the only one who has let me down, not the first one.
