Sad Visit.😕 I actually had to calm myself down before I drove home afterwards. I felt I was met with an arrogant and argumentative doctor. He had an attitude from the time I told him I couldn’t do a MRI due to my pacemaker. To be fair I can be persistent if I want things to go the way I want. I wanted my rotator cuff tear fixed. He wanted me to do physical therapy. I feel it is a waste of time and am in a lot of pain. It is an almost a full tear and believe it has to be repaired through surgery. I visited Dr. Jeffrey Abildgaard for my knee pain. I told him that I had a meniscus repair surgery 5 months ago by a different doctor but the pain has not relieved. He ordered an x-ray but not MRI. X-ray will have the bones scanned but not the ligaments, tissues and their tears. An MRI would also be needed for this. He looked at the X-ray for a few seconds and said the previous surgery might not have done good and I would need to go through a re-surgery without even having an MRI done and examined. Dr Abildgaard charged my wife for an x-ray, then told her she really needs an MRI. Of course, we had already gotten an mri, and then called in advance to be sure that they had it. Dr Abildgaard spent approximately 5 minutes looking at the MRI, told my wife there was no issue and she needed PT, which is probably true. However, the MRI docs clearly state a 13mm wide tear on her tendon which he ignored, and several other issues which he downplayed. Dr Abildgaard is the best. Can’t say enough about this doctor. Smart and informed and cares about his patients. Love this doc and can’t recommend more highly.
