I saw Dr. Shakin approximately 10 yrs ago when I had fluid in my retina. His diagnosis was quick and perfectly accurate. My eye healed exactly in his timeframe. I had to call recently with a question about an injection I need for my back that could potentially cause an issue with my retina. I left a message and one of his nurses, Karen, called me back within an hour just to let me know Dr. Shakin was out for the day and that she would get back to me the next day. Dr. Shakin is a great, caring professional.
Dr Shakin is wonderful. He actually cares. I appreciate his honesty in telling me not to do Surgery. He was looking out for my best interest, which is unusual for doctors these days highly recommend.
