I've been to many doctors in the last 15 years that have misdiagnosed me. Dr. Pakula was the first to correctly identify what was causing my heart to race and was able to correct my issue.
Both my wife and I have had complete cardiac evaluations upon recommendations of our PCPs. This included nuclear scans, stress tests, etc. Dr. Pakula fully explained all results and never seemed hurried
Dr. Pakula was assigned to me in the hospital and I could not be happier that I ended up with him. He is an excellent cardiologist, very thoughtful, takes his time and he has a way of making you feel comfortable. His office staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the office environment is very pleasant.
Dr. Pakula misdiagnosed me. He would not believe my symptoms. Practically laughed at me. I went to a different doctor, an electrophysiologist, and discovered I had a life-threatening condition and was rushed into surgery for a pacemaker. Dr. Pakula still would not admit to his mistake. I would never recommend him to anyone. I won't go to him anymore.
Made me feel at ease. Answered all of my questions. In a way that I could understand. Great personality
