Dr. Simpson has been with me through two childbirths and my hysterectomy. He is a kind and compassionate doctor.
Love him. He gives you all the time you need to discuss your questions. When I was pregnant with my first, I had literally pages of questions almost every time I went in to see him. He would calmly sit back and let me ask them all and then fill in the remaining appt. with additional info I needed to know. He even stayed late after his shift ended to help deliver my baby (even though I stopped dilating) and eventually delivered 2 hours later with another doctor). The office staff are wonderful and courteous as well.
I highly recommend Dr. Simpson. I trust him explicitly. I have been his patient for 23 years. He helped birth my two boys. Both fabulous experiences. He has also been my surgeon on several occasions. The only doctor I know that calls personally to check on his patients. He cares deeply and that is evident.
Absolutely wonderful doctor and staff! The wait could be pretty long especially in the afternoons. Dr. Simpson never rushed our appointments. I was always able to ask my laundry list of questions, even with my second pregnancy. He was also patient with my toddler when he would come during some of my ultrasounds and visits. I was recommended to this practice and so glad I was! Now I refer anyone who needs an OB to them. Dr. Simpson is awesome!
10 years ago Dr. Simpson delivered my son. After 16 hours of labor it was determined I needed a c-section. Dr. Simpson cut into me without waiting for my new epidural to start working, after my old one ran out 30 minutes prior. He responded to my blood curdling screams that I could feel everything with a cool "Oh, no you can't.", and continued to cut. On top of that trauma, he ripped my uterus leaving me unable to have a vaginal birth in the future, His license should be revoked.
I was able to get an appt. within a week of arriving in CT, about 22 weeks pregnant. I'm high risk and Dr. Simpson and his staff have made me feel comfortable from the first visit. Wait time has never been more than 15 minutes. I have recommended him to several of my friends and am confident that he will make the delivery of our baby as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
He's great and so is Amy. If it weren't for them I would have found somewhere else to go because the waiting time is ridiculous sometimes over an hour. Not just once, about 90% of the time I come in, it always happens. So if time is an issue good luck.
