Hired as a criminal defense attorney. Jeff Benice showed up to arraignment, wrote down information about the case, then called out sick the day that the case was going to settle. He sent in another attorney who had never seen or heard of the case before. This assistant started asking questions 30 min before going in front of the judge, then ultimately told the defendant to plea no contest and settle with an extremely poor plea bargain.
