Dr Garr is very nice and cheerful. Unfortunately, the entire appointment he made fun of me and my condition, without any attempt at helping me figure out what my options might be. If he simply said “I understand you have a problem, but I can’t help you” I’d be grateful. But making fun of someone being in pain is not ok. And that’s before we even talk about the fact that Swedish charged me $1,200 for the pleasure of being insulted by their provider.
Dr Garr, carefully explained my condition and recommended a course going forward which I will follow.
Got me in quick. Surgery was well explained. I felt very confident going into surgery.
I saw Dr. Garr in early 2025. Dr. Garr was direct and straightforward in his opinion on surgical solutions for my chronic back pain. Ultimately, while his attitude towards the mental health aspect of chronic pain was frustrating to hear and made me concerned about potential underlying misogyny in his attitude towards young female patients, I appreciated that he didn’t hide the ball or evade my questions about his opinion.
