We trekked from our hotel off of Spectrum in 114°F to the restaurant and were happily waited on by Maria. She suggested some cold icy drinks, and we took her suggestions... one was a beer and the other a margarita. The food as so good. We wanted to go back for another meal but we never found the time. If we come back for another visit, we will visit Jefe's again and we hope Maria will be there. She was positive and checked on us often. Thanks Maria.

I came to the jefe cantina and Cocina about 3 weeks ago and had a delicious birria burrito. I was back in the area and thought I would go there and have a nice lunch. I did have a nice lunch but I was disappointed with the burrito. It was about four times as much rice as meat. It was sad actually. I noticed they had closed up the adjacent room so it looks like they're downsizing a bit. My suggestion is to put some meat in that burrito for goodness sake if you need to charge more than $15 then do it. It was mostly rice. Hard ... read more
