Such a lovely shop!
Visiting Jean Pierre while in Durango never disappoints!! Anything from the Americano to the pastries to the eggs Benedict just delicious! Clean restaurant that runs efficiently and I love that they squeeze the oranges for fresh juice on the spot when you order!!
My husband was very excited to try this place as he grew up in Europe and loves French pastries. After shelling out $40 just for a plain croissant, blueberry filled croissant, chocolate filled croissant, mocha, and a cappuccino to go we were extremely disappointed. These are not legitimate French pastries, they are yummy but are more like American bready croissants, not flaky layered French croissants. Also the mocha was so bad I literally threw it away, I drink mochas everywhere and have never needed to do this before.
Very nice staff and fun atmosphere but the sourdough came frozen and the pastries were just ok
I bought a raspberry croissant, a chocolate croissant, and a cream cheese jalapeno croissant, a cream puff, a tiramisu meringue, and 4 types of macarons. So, an expensive haul, and everything except the croissants were extremely disappointing. The macarons were burnt and over baked, the meringue was eggy and over done on the outside, and the cream puff was completely soggy from the strong egg flavored watery cream.
