John Salazar who owns JDS roofing in Oak Creek, Colorado (near Steamboat Springs) is not a licensed contractor in the State of Colorado. Do your homework. Look him up at the State and you will find that he is does NOT have a license to do this work nor is he insured/bonded. ASK him to provide legitimate paperwork to you. If he gives you anything check it with the building permit office in Routt County. He is not licensed with Routt County either. Call them and ask. He has no business 'pretending' to be a contractor. John came highly recommended by my mother in-law who's metal roof he did on her log home with a very steep pitch and multiple skylights 10+ years ago and she has had zero problems. When we bought our house and needed to do some upgrades John was able to fit us in last year. He did the metal roof on our barn which looks great with no leaks or problems a year+ later. He also did some repairs on our main house gutters and ice melt system and as you can see from the photo it worked perfectly last winter even during the heavy sno... read more
