We have been importing from Japan since 1997. The importing process consists of locating low mileage (45-60k mile) engines and transmissions, front end conversions, and other rare parts. Our location in Japan then loads large shipping containers and sends them across the ocean. Once a container has arrived at its destination port, it is then transported to our facility where we sort, catalog, and photograph parts for our customers. Motor came and upon switching all useless parts accompanied by the engine it was junk. Engine came with broken sensors, vacuum ******* broken on intake and cracked intake, dried out injectors, and carbon biuld up worse than most 200k engines. The plugs were in no shape good to use and sent them pictures with no care from them besides they aren't at fault. The motor made it 15 miles before detonating completely inside block. This place is no good they are complete liers motors no way are test ran and quality wise are no good at all I've called I've emailed no response and always put on hold forever I think on purpose they say the motor you purchase and that they are showing are the ones being sent that's nor true at all also no way its a test ran good ************* there's no way when I go to change valve cover gaskets I find metal shaving paste on valve terrain and a few chunks of metal that look like bearing matter from somewhere in the motor ... read more
Motor shipped damaged, had water in it. Timing chain was broken, cams were in horrible condition, definitely more miles than advertised. Would not recommend.

I ordered an engine for a **** Tacoma. The engine arrived and we sat it on an engine stand. I took the timing belt cover off to inspect the timing belt and discovered that the engine would not rotate by hand. We pulled the spark plugs and discovered water in the cylinders. I contacted JDM immediately and was asked to send pictures which I did using an engine scope. I called back and they said they received the pictures. Ordered an engine from them. It was labeled as a forester, and I was expecting to have to do some work on it to get it right. However, the engine they sent me from from a ****** Legacy/Outback. This was determined from the oil pan being the unique 2-piece design only seen on those models. I reached out to them and havent heard anything from them after waiting a week. Id shop locally rather than buying from them in the future.

The Forester, Legacy, and Outback share the same engine depending on the years of the vehicle. Keep in mind, you're purchasing the long block meaning head(s) and block only. You may need to transfer over the external accessories from the existing engine to the Japanese imported engine. This is specifically stated on the website you placed the order on. This is illustrated prior to a payment being submitted.
