Originally was hesitant because of the cost but after trying the JCC, ymca and a few other I decided to join because it was the best bang for buck. I now go twice a day 4-5 days/week and I have not been disappointed. Great facilities and cheaper than other luxury gyms in the area. As a bonus the staff is all very kind, lots of street parking and the equipment is ample and clean. 10/10
I joined JCC fitness less than a year ago and really am impressed about how well it is run - great facilities all around - wide variety of classes / instructors - excellent pool and steam (“schvitz”) room and sauna (when it’s working and warm enough) - wish they had some relationship with a racquet club to round out the offerings - and would love love it if they added massage / spa options in house, but seems they opted for using the prior massage room space for personal trainers instead. I tried it. I dont think its worth the money and too many hidden fees. Too much chlorine in the pool and burned my eyes. People shouldn't be allowed in the pool without goggles if yall have that much chlorine in there. I was temporarily blinded and resting my eyes while waiting for my wife to get out the shower and some security guard tried to kick me out for sleeping and who cares if I sleep on a couch.
