Not to sure what constitutes ‘independent advice’ these days. We had been advised that JCA only likes to deal with large lift companies, not local independents. Not sure if this is a conflict of interest as ‘new’ Otis Schindler and other larger manufacturers lifts come with a 10-15 year life span. This ends up costing us 100s of thousands over the lifecycle of a building. Not sure how funnelling clients into majors is in the best interest of consumers, frankly borders on anti competitive behaviour.
