I am a 'mentally' disabled Veteran. My only scars are mentally and emotionally. This are do to events I witnessed upon others. 'Nothing bad ever happened to me, just bad thing happened around me'. Was enrolled inpatient rehabilitation once before in 2024 Building 51. Good staff, great counseling. The nurses were happy helping us and treated the patients with empathy and respect. Alot of different types of veterans all day still trying to learn how to unlock mentally and emotionally. Needs more funding.... Not going to happen I already know.
I am traveling and stopped here for some information. I went to JB looking for the pool to get some exercise and I drive around the whole facility looking for some signage for the Gym/Pool. Nothing printed on any of the signs. As I was driving around I stopped to ask where the Pool was and the guy said it is in Bldg 54. Ha! If it was on the Sign I would know right where to go. Called the er to find out how busy there were because I was in between both the va hospitals, and I was told they can’t give out that info which is not a violation of the hepa act. That va hospital sucks. Oh and by the way, the other er must have a different set of policies. Lucky you got one star!
