I had a reverse shoulder surgery in May from Dr. Boughanem. His office manager left since I was there. We waited for 90 minutes and then, shockingly, I wasn’t seen by the doctor. I do not have full range of motion. I cannot swim and almost drowned trying too. When I was on the table before anesthesia, doctor Boughanem asked me how I was feeling. don't know about the surgeon yet, as I've waited since march to see him after another doctors referral, and today when I called for my upcoming appt on Thursday day after tomorrow to make sure they had my MRI .. the receptionist then told me they scheduled me in HILO .. WTH how inept this entire staff is.. I hope the doctor isn't as unorganized as his staff.. and I let my referring doc know how long I've waited and the ineptness of the scheduler
This is the worst doctor. I broke my wrist. Went to Hilo ER where they took xrays and put splint on my arm and a shoulder sling. I was reffered to this Dr. Boughanen for a check up and post Er care. Doctor didn't even talk to me, he kept telling me that I need surgery, but doctor in the Er said it's a lateral brake (same as xray showed) and that no surgery is necessary. Dr. Boughanem sevretary scheduled the surgery anyways. So I sat at home for 3 weeks my hand in a splint and I was trying to call Dr. Boughanan for what to do... read more
Dr Jay Boughanem is amazing! We are fortunate to have him in Hawaii. Wonderful staff too… especially Kaila!. And they stay in touch to make sure you’re doing well throughout recovery.
Dr Boughanem and his staff are top of their field. Outstanding, from anyone who answers the phone, leaves me a message, etc. Office Manager Kaila handles her job with poise and efficiency beyond her years. For someone who is terrified of operations and all that goes with it, Dr Boughanem saw me through it all with the best of care, with a great result. The wonderful Lebanese food truck on the premises is also top quality. Thank you all for all of you care on my behalf
