My client and friend had his metal roof installed by Jay Carter Roofing & Sheet Metal and had problems right from the start. When the panels were run out of the machine, they had big waves and dents in them. This was questioned but my client was told that once they were installed they would come out. The installer told my client that there had been problems with the panel machine but they should be fixed. Jay Carter installed our roof 8 years ago, and after some high winds recently, I noticed 1 missing and 1 loose shingle. I called Jay Carter, and they quickly had someone come over to fix it, and at no cost (under warranty). Great to know that the after-sale service was as excellent as the service we got when it was installed.
Extreme caution warning about working with Jay Carter Roofing and Larry Smart since he is now employed there. Larry Smart was our general manager at Roofing for Less and was terminated in March 2023. Please read the review for us on Home stars. Larry wrote up contracts using our letterhead and HST number but altered details within the contracts so that the customers did not know they were only dealing with Larry Smart. I recently had snow guards installed on my metal roof. As promised by the estimator, Larry Smart, the snow guards were installed before the snow flies for the 2023 winter season. I'm very happy with the design and colour selection of the product provided for installation on the roof. The true test of satisfaction will be determined over the course of this winter. My cottage roof was leaking due to failing shingles. The sales team called me back shortly after I called the office and they came to inspect and measure my roof the following day. I decided to go with a standing seam steel roof so I never have to go through a roofing project again. The project went smooth and the sales manager sent me pictures of the progress as I live in Toronto when I'm not at the cottage. My yard was spotless after they left and I love my new roof. I highly recommend Jay Carter Roofing and Sheet Metal
