Feels like a prison, staff definitely need better training, I was there when I was younger and they have alarms on the beds during nighttime to assure no one leaves their room, like are you trying to make the kids scared?! Definitely not recommended.

Both of my little brothers spent time here. I had a crisis stay at one point. I distinctly remember one time that I was in class, drawing cryptic and sad drawings. I was pulled out, and asked why I was so sad. I said I didn't want to talk about it, and walked back to my desk. I just discharged and when I first got to safe center I thought it was like prison I absolutely hated it but when I got to know people they were kind and I got super emotional after I left when I see all these reviews of people saying "oh they hurt me in containment holds" u realize you are hurting them when u resist when I was there I saw staff with bruises,black eyes,sweating when all I got was uncomfortable feelings it's not bad and if parents see this I recommend this place their cook is so nice she makes delicious food ... read more
I still have ptsd from one staff member there and her name is karrie I had multiple pannick attacks where I felt so scared that I couldn't move and the food was so bad you would think that it's prison they would put you in holds as if your in WWE when you say no as if the words no are unsafe you shouldn't send your kids here it shouldn't be called safe center it should be trauma center
