I just discharged and when I first got to safe center I thought it was like prison I absolutely hated it but when I got to know people they were kind and I got super emotional after I left when I see all these reviews of people saying "oh they hurt me in containment holds" u realize you are hurting them when u resist when I was there I saw staff with bruises,black eyes,sweating when all I got was uncomfortable feelings it's not bad and if parents see this I recommend this place their cook is so nice she makes delicious food ... read more
I still have ptsd from one staff member there and her name is karrie I had multiple pannick attacks where I felt so scared that I couldn't move and the food was so bad you would think that it's prison they would put you in holds as if your in WWE when you say no as if the words no are unsafe you shouldn't send your kids here it shouldn't be called safe center it should be trauma center
From my experience, the staff seemed unprofessional and immature, and I observed a lack of effective leadership. This contributed to what I felt was a harmful environment.
In my observation, staff at this facility lacked proper training and oversight, and incidents were not handled transparently, creating serious safety concerns. I would strongly caution anyone from working here or placing a child at this facility.
I go by Chris now but my name was Arielle madden at this facility, I suffered long term abuse at the hands of people who were supposed to care for me. Due to my disability I have extreme memory gaps from trauma so I am unable to speak of all of my experiences here but I will try. These staff have no compassion towards those who are trying their best to just survive in this place.
