Purchased A truck from a dealer that had an existing Jasper transmission installed at 77,000 miles. I purchased the truck at 138k in which time the transmission went out within 500 miles of purchase. Put 2nd Jasper transmission and it went out at about 51,000 miles. Of course, now we are 6000 miles over the warranty so nothing can be done. 3 TRANSMISSIONS IN 106,000 Miles!!!!! This is almost criminal for the price of these things. how they are still in business is beyond me.

We've used Jasper in the past. And won't be doing business with them again due to transmission failure 3 times mileage were under 15k miles difference between exchange and warranty swap out and all within warranty period. Unfortunately, transmission warranty only applies to original purchase date. We as a shop now eating the cost of new transmission from another vendor. We've found one that is more reliable and had better warranty than Jasper is offering. Don't choose the same mistake we made. Shop another vendor for more re... read more

Got a Rear Differential for a 2002 Explorer installed. After 5 months the differential started making noise while driving. Called Jasper and Tom recommended to do a Drain and Fill of the differential and add friction modifier and drive for week to see if noise goes away. The noise did not, and Jasper agreed to warranty out the differential and sent a new one. They declined labor warranty according to Tom stating they boil tested the fluid and it had water in it???
