Notice that there aren't any recent reviews for this Dr? The first issue is when you call the office you are sent to voicemail. Every single time. When I questioned why they don't have a person answering phones they were irritated explaining they are a small office. The biggest issue was they sent me 3 prescriptions for eyes after the surgery. The price for eye drops was $300. $300! I called and said I'm not doing that They send you to a pharmacy they use. Not my regular pharmacy. She then said that the pharmacy has discount... read more
My surgery went flawlessly. Dr. Karo was great!
Dr. Karo is an exceptional ophthalmologist/eye surgeon! His professionalism and unwavering dedication to his patients are truly comforting. I had cataracts in both eyes with significant astigmatism. Dr. Karo recommended toric lenses (which I had to pay extra for out of pocket). My vision has improved significantly! I’m so glad I listened to his advice. I will definitely recommend you to anyone who’s needs cataract surgery.

I just finished having cateract surgery on both eyes which was done by Dr. Karo of WNC Ophthamology, in Asheville, NC. I cannot express how grateful I am of his thoroughness, compassion and expertise. I would highly recommend anyone needing eye care, specifically cateract surgery, to reach out to Dr. Karo!! He has an inviting, friendly staff also!!
