Dr. Cox doesn't have an internal medicine board certification, but he is better and consistent with top notch internal docs I have seen. He seems to have natural abilities to observe even things not on your chart. He offers advice on things, that other docs refuse to do their "first do no harm", such as without looking it up. Why are you taking this medicine when it contraindicated and this or that protocol would serve you better. Rare communication for a busy doctor.
He is a good listener and takes the time to figure out exactly what the problem is based on the symptoms.
