Having recently relocated from Chicagoland to the greater Tampa area, I was in need of a family physician. I wanted someone that was associated with a teaching hospital. When I saw Dr. Castro’s bio I was impressed and the fact that he is a DO was a plus. Then it came time for the initial visit. What a surprise. Dr. Castro and his office continue to be amazing. I feel super blessed to have such a caring Doctor. The office is taking every precaution during the pandemic. I had my routine appointment by phone and it went smoothly. I was only disappointed that I didn’t get to see the wonderful staff. He was great about answering any questions I had about the virus in addition to my normal follow up appointment. I continue to recommend him him as a primary doctor. yesterdays over the phone visit, was the first time i had done such a visit.. The first time i saw Dr Castro was in Jan of 2020. it was to set up the new patient with him. I liked his staff,, the nurse and Dr Castro. Yesterday's phone visit went great, we discussed my meds, got the refills i needed,, and discussed my breast cancer.

Dr. Castro takes the time to listen and address my concerns. From time to time he shares experiences with a similar situation he has encountered if it is helpful to the patient, i.e. me.
