We had to find a place for Jim’s sister who lived in New York with dementia. We looked at different Senior Care facilities and when we found Avista Senior Living used to be Jasmine Place we fell in love with it. It was bright, friendly and very clean. The care in the facility was really good. She has a bachelor apartment and she loves it there. We can’t say enough how we feel about Avista. I recommend this place. Where do I even start…I could not have found a better place for my loved one. From day one Gloria was always there for me answering every little question I had and just supporting me through the difficult time. I live in a different state and piece of mind is everything so knowing that my loved one was getting the love, care and compassion she needed eased my worries and fears. Nicole was also so wonderful. My mother was there for 6 months. At first it seemed like a nice place to live It was not. The food was lousy they could not keep a good cook. There was a time when they had no food to feed the residents. They had to go out and get take out from restaurants. There was a few good caregivers at this facility but they quit due to lack of pay and long hours. My Father, who is blind was accepted into Avista Senior Living 6 months ago. From the first initial meeting to the passing of my Father in January this year, the Staff and Facility were outstanding. From Executive Director – Scott C. to Gloria and Nicole, their staff, top to bottom were friendly and professional. If there was an issue I had, they bent over backwards to help solve it. I am recommending Avista to any & all I come in contact with!
