I came in for pain in the arch of my foot. Before the doctor examined me, the medical assistant insisted I get an X-ray. I politely asked if I could first see the doctor to determine whether imaging was necessary. After that, the medical assistant became noticeably cold and barely spoke to me. The doctor immediately recommended an X-ray before evaluating my foot. I asked if she could examine me first, and she performed only a brief exam. She was no help at all. She spent only a couple of minutes examining my feet before referring me to two other doctors in her network. On top of that, she came across as impersonal, dismissive, and rude. When I asked a question regarding the referral, she misunderstood and cut me off, responding as if I had offended her intelligence. The entire appointment felt rushed, like she was trying to get me out the door as quickly as possible. Dr. Catalano is an attentive, caring and insightful caregiver. She diagnosed my issue immediately - an issue other doctors had repeatedly misdiagnosed. I highly recommend her!
Dr. Catalano’s exam was incredibly thorough, and the bedside manner of both her and her nurse, Joy, were incredible. To top it all off, my appointment started on time! I cannot speak highly enough of Dr, Catalano and her team.
