Doesn’t listen at all. VERY judgmental. And his nurse is also very rude
Do not recommend for children. Not patient at all, very pushy. I do not feel he takes concerns seriously.
I want to give Dr. Cates a higher rating, but honestly I can't. Though he is understanding and communicates well, concerns we had were not properly addressed, which led to a hospital stay that wouldn't have occurred had the doctors in his office actually properly tested our son while he was sick. We were told our baby, at just under 4 months old, was a "happy wheezer" when he was having retractions and excessive wheezing, only because he was still trying to smile through it all. Dr Cates is great! He always takes his time and makes sure all questions are answered. As a first time mom, it was important to fully trust my sons pediatrician and Dr Cates has definitely earned that trust, highly recommend him
The nurses are not the friendliest, and I grow tired waiting by the phone for them waiting to call back. Urgent care called me back, same day, unlike the nurses here. Glad we found another pediatrician!
We are really happy that our son has Dr. Cates as his pediatrician. We feel quite confident in the practice, in general, but he is by far our favorite doc there. The nurses at the practice are really nice, as is the lactation consultant and new nurse practitioner. Dr. Cates spends a pretty good amount of time with us. He answers questions sensitively and doesn't ever make us feel as though we are overreacting as new parents. He also is just great with our son. I can't recommend him enough!
He does so amazing with my son! It makes going to the doctors so much better when you can trust who's taking care of your child.
Appreciate his attentiveness. Dr. Cates really listens to what we have to say and answers our questions thoughtfully.
