My first visit to Japanese Auto Tech was in 2019 when the transmission in my Scion failed. The repair price was very competitive and I have not experienced any issues with the replacement over the past 30K miles. Since then, I have only returned to Japanese Auto Tech for regular maintenance and repairs. It is hard to find a mechanic that is trustworthy these days so I'm glad to have found a place to take my car and not worry about being ripped off.
I took my car in get it worked on. I gave the guy behind the desk all my contact info. He looked at my car a little bit, said he’d call me and then walked away. He never called. Why be passive-aggressive? We’re all adults here, right? If you’re not going to work on my car just tell me. Look me in the face and say, I’m not going to work on your car. I’m an adult, I can take it. So I guess if you don’t meet some mysterious criteria, they’ll ghost you. Weird.

Tong is rude and racist his attitude was almost like we were being pest because we needed a vehicle repair. I do not advise any African American people to visit his shop because most likely he will ignore your need for service. Very uncaring and unprofessional his approach is hostile.
