My Wife just received a debit to her account for $150 dollars that was tried to be explained as a fee for failing to go paperless. While the customer service rep keep repeating that the $150 fee was justified because they sent out the policy change, we never received anything in regards to this. I understand the push to go paperless but $150 debit to an account for 3 pieces of paper seems like fraud.
I have filed a complaint a month ago and have yet to hear anything from anyone in the company. This is not good customer service.
After reading the 1 complaint on this BBB site with the business response from Matthew G, who is an attorney from the Phila office, I was treated with the same disrespect that the other complaint received. Janney's legal department holds the senior citizen and their money hostage. In my case an unauthorized trade was made without contacting me, without sending me any information on the fund, and the broker failed to notify me when the fund had lost 5% which was my maximum allowance for loss.
