I was given a referral to see Jan Baker by a Kidney Specialist at St. Marks Hospital. After reading some of the reviews on the internet I was a little bit nervous about seeing her. Even the Kidney Dr. said that "She will tell you how it is" I I have to say that I was so HAPPY that I went in to see her. She was honestly the best. She took so much time to explain everything to me. She was kind, addressed All of my concerns. Can't say enough of how GRATEFUL I am. Staff was great also.
She made me feel embarrassed and like I had made poor choices that caused my condition (not true). When I said that I wanted to be free to run around with my children, she asked me why I didn't just ride a bike. Then she gave the name of a doctor and told me to google them so I could look up some exercises that might help me. She never suggested any exercises herself. She continually made me feel ashamed.
