Went for my first Pap and was quite quick and painful. She will say it will feel uncomfortable not painful but at the speed she was working, I think that made it painful jabbing in the tool to get it over with. To do something like that, that quick is already shocking in general for a woman. That process must’ve took 1 minute. Not a pleasant experience. Left Dr Resnik feeling belittled. Agree with the other review, this was the only painful paper smear I’ve experienced. Was charged $500 on my bill because I asked about concerns that were not related to the “yearly woman’s exam” left feeling unheard and not take seriously. This Dr is NOT a ‘girls’ girl.
Dr Resnick is one of the most uninformed and disengaged doctors I've met. She did not read my pregnant patient file and acted as if it was someone else's job to do so. I had to ASK her to test for preeclampsia în week 32(!!). Preeclampsia is a life threatening pregnancy disease I had developed in the past, and most hospitals have a baseline policy to test (urine, blood) on every visit, not to mention in my case the risk was so much higher, as I had it before! Big thanks to doctor Resnik for guiding me through the pregnancy process. She really made things so much easier. I'm so grateful for all her help. She was amazing and I can't thank her enough.
After waiting 5 months for an appointment, I found her personality very gruff and felt she wasn't listening to my answers to her questions. In all my years I have never had a pap smear actually hurt before and it was not from speculum. The staff was rude, standing over me waiting for me to fill out forms even though I arrived 20 minutes early to do so.
