Sitting in post op currently as I type this. Explained that my pain was escalating so I was told to wait for the doctor. They told me that they were going to admit me for pain mitigation post surgery. It has been over an hour since I told my nurse I’m in pain. No call button for my bed and the nurses are acting like I’m being an inconvenience for asking about my doctor.
I was in the ER about 2 weeks ago and had a nurse named Marley (forgive me if I spelled it wrong) but she made me feel so comfortable and no shame at all. She was very personable and professional at the same time. She is someone I will never forget. 10/10 experience.
Waited for 4 hours with my wife never even got out of the waiting room.
I went in with abdominal pain. Have been in and out of hospitals for 3 weeks. Was treated by the nurse practioner who was rude and condescending. Didn't give me any answers and gave me meds that I told her wouldn't work on me. She acted like it was all in my head or I just wanted drugs. I discharged myself because of her. Plus I use a wheelchair to be taken back to room. When I left I had to walk from room to the front entrance. Not one person asked if I needed help and it was obvious that I did need help
