We greatly miss Dr Berk in the Alachua Orthopedic Office. He took care of us for 15 years & kept us mobile.
I am in my 70s, had issues with my right knee and right elbow. Dr. Berk treated me 6 months ago and with his guidance my problems have subsided. I would definitely make an appointment with him for any new problems.
I had a Worker’s Comp. referral that I was required to go see Dr. Berk during the COVID-19 pandemic. My daycare was closed and I asked the doctors office if I could bring my two-year-old. They said it was fine. However when he started crying because he was scared thinking of the doctors appointment was for him, there was a general freak out by one nurse and Dr. Berk. Has taken care of our family since the office opened here in Alachua. Great care great staff. Dr Berk always explains his procedures & is an expert @ injections of any kind. He has treated our knees back, neck & hand. We are always satisfied & highly recommend.
Dr. Berk did not care to hear my concerns about my broken arm. It seemed that he wanted to talk but did not want to listen. He was all business, not patient-friendly. After cast was removed and physical therapy was completed, I continue to have issues with my injury, but I will NOT go back to Dr. Berk.
I was seen at my appointment time, no wait. I was going on a cruise in two weeks and was in terrible pain. Dr. Berk made time for me and worked with me so I was able to walk by cruise time. He explained everything, made appointments to treat me before the cruise. He and his staff were great.
Treated like a drug seeker because I felt it was unnecessary to completely disrobe for a hip exam. First thing out of Dr. Berk's mouth was "I'm not the doctor you want, you need pain management" He flat out stated that if I didn't need surgery I was in the wrong place.
I had my 1st appt with de berk last week tues and became very ill due to medications he put me on so i called to let them know and the staff there did not show any compassionthey started avoiding my phone calls and when i did speak with them they rushed my conversation cut me off and were just rude i wouldnt have had to call had the doctor not put me on so much terrible medicine
Personable, attentive, very skilled at injections for arthritis.
