I first saw Dr. Kayiaros over two years ago when my hip first started hurting. His staff took x-rays of my hips and back, and Dr. Kayiaros explained what was happening to me. He took the time to thoroughly answer all my questions. I went back to him this year when I decided it was time for total hip replacement surgery. Again, he took the time to thoroughly answer all my questions about the surgery and recovery. The surgery went very well. I was surprised that my recovery was so easy.
I had total left hip replacement. Dr. K has been terrific from start to finish, advising me as to best for my health, managing expectations as to what comes next, and surrounding himself with a team of wonderful, professional folks who have made me feel like patient #1 all the way through. By the way, three weeks post-surgery and I am walking without assistance or pain.
This is my second uni-compartmental knee replacement, having had my 1st knee operated on by Dr. Kayiaros seven years ago. I'm 22 days past surgery and feel great, with almost full flexion and extension, and moderate to minimal pain.
