I have been lucky enough to have Dr. Smith as my urologist for 3-4 years and think he is one of the most attentive, kindest and smartest doctors I have ever encountered. I have seen many doctors across lots of specialties and normally don’t care too much if a doctor makes up for lack of personality or empathy by extreme competence. My husband is a new patient of Dr. Smith, and I can't thank him enough for how helpful he is! He was able to diagnose and treat my husband for something his PCP mismanaged. My husband called after the appointment glowing about how "cool this guy is" and how he's looking forward to going back. Extremely knowledge on the latest research. The office runs smoothly with little wait time. My only complaint is their visit charges are high, but that's UCSF's fault, not Dr. Smith. We very highly recommend him!
