Desmin was great with mama and we all thought she was wonderful. I recommend her highly.
James River provided hospice care for my mother for the last six months of her life. I really want to thank the team, especially Karla and Desmond, who were the main care givers. They were truly wonderful with my mom, and were both so patient and kind. They always explained what they were doing. James River cared for my elderly father for the 2+ years he was in home hospice status. Their staff members were always caring and attentive to my Dad’s needs and so very supportive of us as family and caregivers. Our main nurse Jen practically became a member of our family. Our other nurse, Ally, was also extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We also want to thank Desmond, who was in charge of my Dad’s bathing and hygiene. She made a very difficult job seem easy! Desmond has truly been such a blessing. She’s patient, kind, and very attentive. She takes her time, pays attention to the little details, and always makes sure my client is comfortable and well cared for. Her presence alone brings a sense of calm and reassurance.
