I went to Dr Porter in 2018 at a time when I was also in treatment for a rare bone marrow disease. When I arrived at the appointment, the staff said that they tried to call me to see if I was STILL coming. I was taken aback. Apparently, the doctor did not think I should bother with my arthritis since I had this rare diagnosis? (btw, I am still alive 7 years later!) I went into the appt. and he proceeded to do basically nothing, but said that I had osteoarthritis, which had already been diagnosed before by a primary years bef... read more

Dr. Porter was very busy that day, yet when he was in with me he took his time. He was very thorough and explained what was happening. This was an initial diagnosis, I was very relieved to have worked with a doctor who was as patient and kind as he was that day. It was a rough diagnosis, but still a positive experience.
