I only saw Dr. Pontius for a few sessions, through the EAP at work. Just going through a rough time and the help was available. Dr. Pontius is a clinical psychologist with many years of experience and a huge amount of knowledge. He’s got techniques and tricks in his therapy tool bag that came in quite handy for my situation. Mostly what I liked about him was the mindfulness-based flavor of his practice. Unless you are desperate to hear someone else talk, save your money and buy a basic textbook. The information is the same and it's a more effective use of your time. This guy is a total quack. Very negative doctor that focuses solely on the problem and tries to build value with fear tactics that you have lots of problems. Over a period of 2 months he never offered any solutions or positive progress.
