I went to Dr. Walker for an evaluation. This Doctor still uses radiographic film instead of true digital radiography, unbelievable. Dr. Walker’s diagnosis (quote): “Irreversible Pulpitis” (I need a root canal). I’m somewhat distrusting when it comes to Dentists and inquired two more Endodontist evaluations. Result (quote): “No endodontic treatment indicated” and (quote) “No root canal at this time“, both used true digital x-ray technology. Dr. Walker was available via his cell phone on a late Friday afternoon when all other endos referred to me by my general dentist were not available , except to return my call the following Monday. He accomodated my needs on Monday, did an excellent treatment procedure, in a relaxed, professional manner. He and his staff stayed late, and provided time from their overtime schedule as neeed, for a through, considerate care of my needs, including submitting necessary insurance items on my behalf. Dr. Walker tried to swindle me out of nearly $300. He did this by giving me an estimate that was EXACTLY what my insurance charges (30%) for a preferred provider, knowing full well he was NOT a preferred provider. Then AFTER my procedure he tried to get 60% out of me. He sent me to collections and eventually they took me to small claims court. However it backfired as the judge agreed that Dr. Walker was dishonest in his estimate and awarded me $100 + court costs and relief from payment of the remaining cost.
I've had three root canals with Dr Walker and his fantastic staff in the last 2 years. Every experience has been pleasant, you will feel confident and assured that everyone knows exactly what should be done. I have not comparison shopped for root canal treatments, but feel sure that I was not being overcharged,as the services were time consuming and meticulous, by the end, I figured I got a lot for what I paid. Wonderful endodontist, informative about every step of the procedure, about the cost right up front, beautiful office, clean and aesthetically pleasing. Highly recommend this office for anyone needing a root canal. Allowed me to pay a percentage up front and will bill my insurance on my behalf. Just an all around good experience considering what one is having done. His staff are great very accommodating, he came in on his day off so I would not go over the weekend in discomfort!! Need I say more??
Very easy visit, good explanation of the procedure, fairly painless. Easy to work with.
