Dr. Chandler removed a tumor from my brain a month ago. It was challenging and done with incredible skill. My recovery has been swift. Several people in the healthcare field had told me before the operation, 'Dr. Chandler is brilliant.' I agree! I wholeheartedly recommend him and his talented and caring team at Northwestern.
Very happy with the care I received from Dr. Chandler. He wasted no time deciding that the tumor needed to be removed and then getting it done. I've gotten many comments about my incision and what a quality surgeon he must be because of how good it looks.
Dr. Chandler is direct and informative with details and expectations. He put me at ease at a scary time. His team has also been great with answering questions.
Very professional, cool, calm and collected as described. Not very 'touchy feely' initially or post op which is understandable from a surgeon - just a briefing point. Only point of contention that I have with the experience is not knowing he was out of network with Aetna.
Dr. Chandler is a top notch surgeon. He answers my questions clearly and in a manner that is understandable. After meeting with him I am at ease with my diagnosis and what my future holds. Thank you, Dr. Chandler.

Accidentally found a meningioma on a CT scan. Was referred to Dr Chandler as ' THE Guy ' to see for anything involving brain tumors, He was informative as to treatment available to treat my condition. Surgery was waaaay easier than what I was imagining and recovery was quick for me. Love my new scar. Love the TEAM.
I am so thankful for Dr. James Chandler. The only reason it took me so long to register for this GetWell application is because I didnt undhad no laptop, and had terrible trouble with my smart phone. Since I am visually impaired with Cone Rod Dystrophy for 22 years, my eyes do weird things. When they get strai ned they see things strangely. From the first time we met Dr. Chandler, the comfort level was a 10. His office requested all prior imaging i had, he reviewed all of it and went over my options. He explained everything he was going to do during my surgery and my care after. He and his staff were available for any/all questions. If you have anything to say or ask of him just say it...You are your own best advocate!!
