My wife and I went to St. Charles thinking it would be a great experience and although the Labor and Delivery staff were absolutely amazing and most of the postpartum staff as well, James Cavanagh was the one person who stood out to us as the most unhelpful and dismissive. Amazing pediatrician! Answers my million concerns with patience, cares about my son’s health and always thoroughly explains everything going on in detail- I never leave with concerns unheard or addressed. Hard to find doctors who actually care and he is one of them! My son is in good hands here.
When I delivered my first son at St. Charles almost 6 years ago, I had my PCP selected for my son. Cavanagh is the doctor attending to the babies in maternity, and after meeting him and having a conversation with him, I immediately called my insurance to switch to him. He’s caring, REALISTIC, and passionate about what he does, and you can literally feel it when you speak with him. So now, both my boys go to him. Dr. Cavanagh is an excellent pediatrician. He listens patiently and takes the time to explain everything clearly. He truly understands each situation and answers questions calmly. As parents, we sometimes panic when things don’t seem perfect, but Dr. Cavanagh always knows how to reassure us and help us feel at ease.
We look forward to our visits with Dr. Cavanagh. He provides excellent evidence based health care. Everyone at the office is very nice and it is run efficiently.
