Dr. Howton changed my life! There is not enough space here to list all the ways he has helped me and my family. One of the many ways he helped me was discovering I had mercury poisoning. Dr Howton has literally saved my life. I won't go into diagnosis and treatment. But when I first saw him I was barely verbal, confined to bed, in short non-functioning. I had my thyroid removed due to thyroid cancer. I was referred by my surgeon to see an endocrinologist they set me up with. The endocrinologist they refered was bad and not helpful. I got Dr. Howtons name from someone who was also referred to the same bad endocrinologist. So I made an appointment with Dr. Howton. He listened, did the right blood work and made a real difference in my care. He gets the thyroid thing. Most regular doctors do not get it and apparently endocrinologist either. I have referred others to see him.
I have been seeing Dr. Howton for 10+ years. Despite now living out of state, I still travel back to Colorado for appointments. I trust him to treat me based on his conscience, not how an insurance company will reimburse him to treat me. I recommend him.
