Dr Doran has always been professional and was quick to notice problem areas and treat them. He is knowledgeable and has decent bedside manner - not too much, not too little. The front office is very good, the nursing staff need a lot more training; I found 2 of them self-centered, uncaring and of little value, not whatt I consider professional or in the spirit of nursing.

Doctor Doran has become a friend in just the past year of my experience as his patient. He is very knowledgeable and helps me understand why my feelings and symptoms are happening and what I can do to avoid problems. He also reflects an honest care and concern for what I ask about and takes the time to listen before he responds. I am always impressed with his knowledge of things and even the chemical body reactions that explain a lot of our symptoms. at 76, I met many Drs. (He is the best)

Dr. Doran is a very caring doctor who listens to me. I don’t understand the negative reviews of some people. He is very to the point and explains everything to me. I feel very comfortable having him as my doctor. I highly recommend him. The staff are very nice too.

My husband and I have had nothing but good experiences with Dr. Doran over a number of years. We always find him knowledgeable, compassionate, and personable. We love him and do not hesitate to recommend him to others.

I liked Dr Doran but I had an issue with one of the Nurses that work in his office and ultimately left him. His Nurse argued with me about a medication dosage that he had put me on saying I was taking it wrong even though he had written out the instructions and I was taking it the way he said to. Next time she stated I was being referred to WindHosp pain mgmt. When I told her he said they don't do what I needed she told me if I didn't like it I could see another PCP. I took her up on that offer.

Business response:

Thanks for the feedback, Chet. Please contact us at MedicalGroupExperience@hhchealth.org so we can work with you to make this right. Thanks again, Lynn T.

Glowing remarks for his office staff and nurse; warm friendly people. Dr. Doran is another story. He is arrogant, insensitive, and egotistical. His body language says it all: in the exam room, he sits down behind the computer in a corner, as if barricading himself from you. Little eye contact, no warmth, his sense of concern is for himself. His style is to announce what he thinks you need, and God help you if you disagree. Very judgmental. I can't imagine calling him "caregiver".

Business response:

I had an appt with the Dr at 3:15. I was 4 mins late then waited another 3 mins at the receiving desk for someone to check me in. The nurse told me that I was too late and would have to reschedule. I told her I was all out of my scripts and needed to see the doctor. She refused. I suffered anxiety and needless stress. I will Persue legal help for this mistreatment

I would find another doctor . He does not make much eye contact and is very abrupt . I felt like a burden and unwanted . Shows no compassion . Sad I have been coming to this office for 16 years and my original provider retired . I am going to find a provider who cares.
