Extremely unimpressive. Painfully unimpressive.
I was not supposed to walk again when Dr Kang did my back surgery while at UPMC. Not only am I walking, I've completed 2 50Ks, biking and traveling. Recently an orthopedic Dr looked at my back before and after said it was amazing work.
I was in severe pain due to a herniated disc and was barely functioning. I went to Dr Kang after taking the first appointment available and I was confident in his advice. After briefly trying PT and getting a steroid shot with no relief, Dr, Kang was able to schedule me for surgery within one week. The surgery was a success and I woke up essentially pain free. My recovery time was short and I am back to living a normal, active pain free life. I am so grateful to Dr. Kang and his team for his approach and brilliant work!
Cannot say enough about the skill of Dr. Kang. I feel lucky to have found him. After a year of doctors who could not find and treat the issue, Dr. Kang not only immediately identified the problem, understood my pain, but he fixed it seamlessly. His bedside manner is terrific, but his work surpasses that. Excellent outcome, excellent doctor.
