Dr. Salata worked on my nose. I have not been able to breath through my nose for close to 10 years. I had crushed bones and several growths in my nose. I went into surgery at approximately 8 AM and was back in recovery by 915. I was prescribed pain medicine, which a week later have had no need for. Dr Salata is very professional and a kind person. Dr. Salata removed my thyroid. He is very caring--taking his time with me, answering my questions--I didn't feel like I was pushed into surgery or rushed through it. I have also worked with him for years at Valley Health as a nurse on a surgical floor, so I know the good doctors. I would recommend him to my family and friends.
He saw our son for issues with ear infections and fluid and was very receptive to our questions and super nice. Then when he did our son's ear tube surgery he made sure we didn't have any questions and explained everything very well. Definitely recommend!
Dr. Salata has been a part of our family since our oldest son’s problems started approximately 9 ½ years ago. Dr. Salata has had nothing but patience and kindness towards a very scared boy who wanted nothing to do with him or Doctors and only wanted to scream. Our son is now 10, we have been through multiple surgeries and Dr. Salata not only treated us with nothing but respect, but he would sit with us and answer all our questions no matter how many. Dr Salata is one of the best!
Dr. James Salata is one of the best ear, nose and throat doctor in Winchester, Virginia. I’ve been seeing Dr. Salata since 2012. I had nodules, goiters on my thyroid gland. He has been monitoring them for the past six years. My goiters and nodules grew. Yesterday I had surgery to have my thyroid gland removed. Dr. Salata did a great job on my incision. Dr. Salata is a great physician and a wonderful human being. His bedside manners “SUPERB”. Dr. Salata cares for his patients. Thank you Doctor

Dr. Salata is an extremely knowledgable and experienced surgeon. He correctly identified my disease after symptoms and tests had left other physicians puzzled. He made sure that my questions were answered and that I received prompt treatment. He was very professional and caring throughout my illness. His skill level as a surgeon is fantastic.
