It was my first time here, but I was fortunate to have found it. I got corn rows straight back, and it took them about 2 hours to braid. Maggie worked on my hair. She was also able to wash and dry my hair before we got started. All the ladies there are hard working and kind individuals. They did an excellent job on all the other ladies in the chair while I was there. Their prices are also reasonable, comparable.

This is my second time visiting Jamila’s and even recommended people to visit based on my first experience, however, I would never recommend or return back. I was seriously disappointed by this. The braiders that I will never recommend and also feel as if needs to be skilled more or removed, sits next to Ms. Magget she has short blonde hair and fro like style in addition to Anne. I booked an appointment 3 weeks ago for boho knotless small braids and brought my own hair. Fee did my hair with another lady and they charged me $360 for having long hair and alot of boho hair. Today I came in by appointment and I got a take down $90 and shampoo $20 and braid down for a wig $50 no hair added $160. With the take down she did not comb through my hair so the shampoo girl did. I visited Jamela's braiding salon and had a good experience. I came in at 8 and was finished by 2. I got boho braids, (extra boho) and the parts were neat and clean. Overall, no complaints. I’d definitely come back for my next style.
