I stopped in Jamba for a quick bite and I noticed that they were now offering empanadas. I ordered two of the chicken ones for $6 for two. The empanadas were pretty good. They were well filled with tender chicken, but the cumin seasoning was a little high. The crust was pretty good, but an additional 45 seconds to a minute in the high convection oven would have been good to develop a more crusty texture and a better golden brown color. Not very good service unfortunately 😩 The staff is normally always helpful and pleasant until today , the taller younger male with facial hair and wearing jewelry was not helpful and extremely unpleasant 😭😭
The tall skinny mustache was pretty weird. All I asked after ordering a smoothie was change for a $5 bill to ride the bus, when it was the hottest hour of the day & he cut off his coworker that was about to give me change with “it throws the count off,” & “we need ones the most,” with a tip jar full of $1s in front of him lol. How does changing a $5 for $1s throw the count off, unless he couldn’t count to 5?
