a great meeting spot – WE have an annual cousins gathering at Jakes; and for the past 15 years have never been dissappointed. This past weekend was our 2009 one, and all 20 of us have no qualms about ording ANY dish on the menu. The outdoor facility and the indoor one give us an entire afternoon of relaxes drinking, dining and visiting.
Riverside, and for my money ... the best – An excellent restaurant, with a wide range of basic American fare, located riverside/lakeside just outside Menomonie. Outdoor facilities in the summer (and that stretches a bit each way). Some good basic music on summer afternoons. The kids can romp a bit, the local old timers are always out in force, and you will find everything in between.
