Dr Jain has been a wonderful doctor to my 83 year old father who received a pacemaker in August under emergency circumstances. His calm demeanor reassured us from the start. He has treated my father with dignity and respect these past five months. Dr. Jain is courteous, truthful and kind. He takes the time to answer questions. He has given us a great sense of hope. In 2013 my heart was in bad shape, and I was getting fatigued walking small distances. At my local hospital, East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro, Georgia, 34 pounds of fluid was drained off me in one night. The cardiologist on call during my hospital stay was Dr. Ajay Jain. I remember like it was yesterday - he said to me "Al, you have a very weak heart, I'm going to recommend you for Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta to screen you for an LVAD (left ventricular assist device).
Dr. Jain is very professional and is of the highest moral character! I will always be thankful for how he took care of me.
Dr. Jain saved my life on July 2, 2014. For months I had sharp pain behind my left shoulder blade when walking with my arms down - never with my arms up. I was on no meds, had perfect blood labs, pressure and heart-- but I knew my body. Something was terribly wrong. I demanded to see a cardiologist. A heart cath showed a lower descending artery was open only 1%. I was dying. Rushed to Savannah, I had open heart surgery on July 4th -- my husband had had open heart surgery on May 2nd. He saved us.
One of the most knowledgeable and professional physicians I have ever had. He treats his patients with the utmost respect and kindness. He takes as much time as needed to explain the procedures he employs and the diagnosis he reaches, as well as any recommended treatment.
