Jacque has been downtown, with her unique cuisine, for years. Love her different recipes! My favorite is mountain berry stuffed french toast!
Broaden your horizon. No, this isn't your typical 'fast food', but it is quite flavorful, well prepared, proportioned for grown ups and in an atmosphere that promotes discussion and community. Considered by many to be a 'vegan' location, I can tell ya the french dip sandwich and ham and bean soup MORE than satisfied my meat eater's hunger!
My husband and I excitedly took our 2.5 month old daughter to this place this morning only to be "greeted" at the door with a "that thing is huge" referring to our stroller. We sat against a wall and I had every intention of taking my daughter out and folding up the stroller, but we decided to leave when we were told "that's just not going to work" because she said there wasn't room for other customers to sit at the next table. One of my favorite downtown places to enjoy lunch and breakfast. Fresh ingredients, excellent service, cozy atmosphere, and great specials daily.
